The City Clerk serves as the information center on functions of local government and community. Continually strive to improve the administration of the affairs of the Office of the City Clerk through participation in education programs, seminars, workshops and the annual meetings of their state, province, county and international professional organizations.
The mission of the City Clerk's office is to maintain and provide information and services to the community as related to city code; Council activities; city records; and licenses and permits.
The mission of the South Sioux City Public Library is to provide access to informational, educational, cultural, and recreational materials and services in a variety of formats and technologies; to be responsive to the public library needs of the community; to support life-long learning; and to uphold the public's freedom of access to information.
Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in the community through the promotion and use of technology. The technology department is responsible for the maintenance of the city's communications infrastructure including the fiber optic network, computer network, phone systems, radio communications, automatic meter reading and demand management system as well as the municipal web server.
