I have lived in South Sioux City since 1970, graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1979 and have 4 children and 3 grandchildren.
I attended the University of South Dakota, getting degrees in political science and public administration. I have worked in City Government, at SIMPCO and for the City of South Sioux City while attending college. I have been employed with Great West Casualty for the past 22 years.
I believe South Sioux City is a great community to live in and that we have a lot to be proud of. Please contact me with any issues or ideas that you may have to help keep South Sioux City moving in the right direction.
Dennis Nelson
Councilman Dennis Nelson
I have lived in South Sioux City since 1955 and have been married to my wife Sharon for 40 years. We have 2 sons and 5 grandchildren. I have been in the Real Estate and construction business for over 30 years and have served as the past president of the Sioux City Construction League. I was previously on the South Sioux City Council for 18 years.
I enjoy being with my grandchildren, golfing and traveling. I live at 304 Regency Court here in South Sioux City.

I am a life long resident of South Sioux City. I served 26 years on the South Sioux City Police Department and have held every rank in the department from patrol officer to acting chief.
My wife, Judy, and I have run a food catering service for the past 24 years in the 3 state area, specializing in pancake breakfasts. I enjoy promoting our All-America City and I serve on the best City Council around - all good, dedicated, professional people!

Oscar GomezCouncilman Oscar Gomez - Council President
Oscar Gomez was appointed at the January 8, 2007, City Council meeting to fill the vacancy left by Bob Giese when he was elected Mayor. This term will expire on the second Monday in December, 2008.
Oscar graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1993. He attended Briar Cliff University, receiving a Bachelors degree in Business Administration.
He was employed by Siouxland Federal Credit Union in South Sioux City for 7 years. In January, 2006, he joined Security National Bank in Sioux City, IA, as the Hispanic Banking Services Manager.
In his free time, Oscar enjoys boating on the beautiful Missouri River and playing soccer.
When asked why he wanted to serve as a councilman, he stated, "To help South Sioux City become a better city."

Dan BousquetCouncilman Dan Bousquet
Dan graduated from Heelan High School in 1967. He attended Western Iowa Tech, receiving a Mechanical Drafting and Design Degree in 1968.
Dan is also a Veteran Volunteer and is the Builder of the Glass Show Case for Vietnam Veteran Wall (MIA) currently housed at City Hall.
He has 38 years of construction experience and is affiliated with St. Michael's Church, American Legion, Eagles Club, Elks Lodge No. 112 and, Knights of Columbus. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1970, is a former 185th Air Guard Veteran.
Dan has two daughters, Harmony (38) and Alana (31) and has lived in South Sioux City for 42 years.

I am a lifelong resident of South Sioux City and a 2002 graduate of South Sioux City High School.  Upon graduation, I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and then the University of Nebraska-College of Law.  I practiced law for a short time in Omaha before moving home to open Ehrich Law Office, P.C., L.L.O. in 2011, along with my mother, Sandy, herself a former council member and Mayor of South Sioux.  I have been married to my wife, Ranee, Since 2013, and we are welcoming our first child, a boy, in March.  I believe that South Sioux City is a wonderful community to live, work, and play, and I look forward to serving my fellow citizens on the council so that as a community we can accomplish our goals.

Hello, my name is Bruce Davis and I am pleased to be one of your South Sioux City Council members. My wife Bridget and I reside at 519 Broadmoor Drive in South Sioux City. I have lived in South Sioux City since 1965, graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1975, Wayne State College in 1979 and the National School of Banking in 2001.
My previous city experience involved being a council member from 1984 -1994, Mayor 1994 -1998, Council member from 1998 -2004 and most recently a Council member from 2010 to the present. I love being a voice for the citizens and planning for a very secure financial position for the City of South Sioux City. As a banker for over 25 years I believe prudent financial decisions pave the way for a better community.
Currently I own a Marketing and Consulting Company called Infiniti Marketing Group so my schedule allows me to be deeply involved in our city government. My name is Jason Bowman. I am a lifelong resident of South Sioux City and have previously served on the South Sioux City Council for 12 years (1996-2008). Currently I am filling a vacancy on the city council left by my friend, Al Bengtson, who was called to heaven in November 2010.
I graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1988; then served 4 years in the U.S. Navy during Operation Desert Storm. My wife, Erica and I have been married for 19 years and we have been blessed with 2 children: Morgan, age 9 and Carter, age 6. Erica is an elementary teacher here in South Sioux City and I am an electrician, and currently the Membership Development Director for IBEW Local 231.

I have lived in South Sioux City for 60 plus years. I graduated from South Sioux City High School and then attended Wayne State College. I have been married to my husband Richard for 32 years and we have 6 children and 8 grandchildren.  I served on several boards in the Siouxland area and am active in Toastmasters International.  I worked for Great West Casualty for 35 years and am now retired. This gives me more time to give back to this great community. I am excited to be a part of the city council and I believe in the growth and success of South Sioux City.
