   Family Heirloom Quilt Show

The second annual Family Heirloom Quilt Show will be held in the main hall of the library on Friday, October 20, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The quilt show celebrates the beauty and the artistry of the work of quilt makers.  Quilters from around the area will display both new and very old quilt work at this event.  Each quilt, no matter what its age, has its own history.

This year, special presenters will inform and entertain quilt viewers.  The following presentations and demonstrations will take place:

Friday, 1:15 p.m.:  Jane Vereen will give a presentation on Hand Appliqué.

Saturday, 10:00 a.m.:  Jean Bossow from the Siouxland Quilt Guild will speak on Paper Piecing.

Saturday, 12:00 p.m.:  Katie Petersen will speak on Photo Quilts.
