OPERATION CLEAN - SWEEP

CLEAN-UP WEEK
May 7-11, 2007
Residential curbside collection will occur Monday, May 7th , through Friday, May 11th, and will coincide with your regular garbage collection day (city garbage customers only, not apartment complexes over two units, or trailer courts). Please separate all solid waste eligible for clean up as follows: All metal in one pile; tree limbs in one pile, and all other materials in one pile. All furniture will need to be broken into a manageable size and placed in separate piles. Tree branches, tree limbs, sticks, and brush must be cut into four (4) foot lengths or less and stacked neatly by the curb. Separate crew will pick up the metals.
THE MATERIALS LISTED WILL NOT BE COLLECTED AT CURBSIDE
*Construction material and demolition debris: i.e. dimension lumber, plywood, sheet rock, old plaster, lathe, nails, shingles, roofing paper, siding, bricks, concrete blocks, and broken concrete. *Hazardous materials: i.e. petroleum products of any type, herbicides, pesticides, acid batteries, broken glass panes, other caustic substances, oil base paint, and poisonous substances. *Tires will not be picked up Remaining items can be taken to the Jackson, NE. landfill. Hours there are, Monday through Friday 6 A.M. to 5 P.M., Saturday 6 A.M. to 12 Noon.
NOTE: Used motor oil may be brought to the Public Works location, 125 E 26th Street. This collection location is free of charge.
*Normal fee will be charged at the Jackson Landfill*
