Patsy Cline Country Music Hero

Local artist Jamie Lee Nieman will give a presentation entitled Patsy Cline:  Country Music Hero on Monday June 15th at 6:30 p.m. 

Patsy Cline permanently changed the role of women in country music.  Before Ms. Cline, female country singers played the role of “the girl singer” in a male country music band.  Patsy Cline proved that a woman could take the role of headliner in the world of country music.  Cline mentored stars like Loretta Lynn and Dottie West, as well as paving the way for people like the Judds, Martina McBride, and many other great stars today.  You can visit Jamie’s YouTube site at https://www.youtube.com/user/jamieniemansings.
