Event Description:

Can Singing Karaoke Make You a Better Salesperson?

This is just one of the questions posed and answered by Tom Becka, when he makes a personal appearance at the South Sioux City Public Library, 2121 Dakota Avenue, on Thursday October 23rd at 10:00 a.m.

Tom Becka applies all he has learned as a radio personality and a stand-up comic to the business of sales and selling yourself, in his book and talk entitled "There is no Business without the Show".

There's No Business without the Show deals with

  • Creating an image,
  • Overcoming Stage Fright,
  • Not getting discouraged by the word no and
  • Building your fan base.

Doug Stephens says about the book:

"My father was the best salesman I have ever known and a lot of what Tom is saying is the same wisdom my father taught me years ago.  Everybody is a sales and everybody is in show business.  This book would be good for teachers, lawyers, or anybody who has to sell their ideas to others."

Tom Becka is a successful talk-radio host on Omaha's KFAB 1110 discussing    politics, entertainment and everything   between.  He is former salesman and standup comedian; opening for the likes of Jerry Seinfeld, Drew Carey and Chicago.
