One of the world's greatest showmen, Cecil B. DeMille, produced and directed this splashy, colorful look at life under the big tent. This Academy Award winning film ("Best Picture" - 1952) blends drama with spectacle as the Ringling Brothers-Barnum and Bailey Circus provides the settings and co-stars. DeMille tells a personal story of the behind-the-scenes circus life and still manages to get in lion tamer, circus flyers, acrobats, tightrope walkers, clowns, and an incredible train wreck. Features a strong cast headed by Betty Hutton. This is really a testament to the determination, skill and magic of circus life %u2014 and those who perform so well in the center ring.
