Event Description:

Bev Hinds will speak at the South Sioux City Public Library on Thursday, March 24 at 7:00 p.m. as part of the library's observance of Women's History Month.

Bev Hinds is a resident of Sioux City, Iowa, graduate of the University of Iowa and devoted Lewis and Clark historian. She has followed the Lewis and Clark Trail since 1974, and has been a member of the Lewis and Clark Heritage Trail Foundation (LCHTF) since 1971.

In her presentation, Sacajawea and the Lewis and Clark Expedition, Ms. Hinds will tell the story of this strong young woman, who was the only woman on the Lewis and Clark Expedition of 1803-1806. During her presentation, she will separate the historical facts about the life of Sacajawea from the myths and legends.
