Are you ready for an emergency?
Many individuals believe they
are prepared for disasters, but often are not as prepared as they think. In
addition, some admit they do not plan to prepare at all.
National Preparedness month
gives citizens a chance to learn more about ways to prepare for all types of
emergencies. Emergency preparedness is the responsibility of every person. We
can take a few simple steps - creating a disaster supply kit, making a family
disaster plan and staying informed about the different types of emergencies and
their appropriate responses, and get involved.
National
Preparedness Month serves as a good reminder that we all have a responsibility
in protecting ourselves, our families and our communities. It is recommended
that everyone have enough emergency supplies on hand to sustain themselves for
at least 72 hours following an emergency.

Emergency Preparedness at the library on Tuesday October 10th at 6:30pm.
