The City of South Sioux City is looking for citizens to take part in boards listed below. Serving on a board, commission or committee is very rewarding. Being part of a board you will be part of community improvements while improving the community’s quality of life.
If interested in taking part in a board, please complete a PDF application on the City’s website: www.southsiouxcity.org or you can pick one up at South Sioux City Hall. Once completed, please drop off the application at the City Clerk’s office at 1615 1st Avenue, South Sioux City, NE 68776 or email to rnelsen@southsiouxcity.org. As applications are received, they will be reviewed by the Mayor and then sent onto City Council for approval.
Citizen Advisory Board:
The Citizen Advisory boards primary goal is to make sure that all expenditures of local tax revenues for economic development are followed within the LB840 guidelines (Municipal Economic Development Act).
Meeting times: meets quarterly
Number of Members: composed of no less than five members and no more than 10, with one member of the board having expertise or experience in field of business finance and accounting
Term: year to year term
Residence: registered voter of the city
